Introduction
The supermall and property service client is a prestigious commercial complex located in South-eastern Asia, as the most famous "No.1 Business District in P.R.C". It has become synonymous with luxury shopping, fine dining, and cultural experiences. Boasting a diverse array of high-end retail stores, boutique shops, and flagship outlets, that offers a curated selection of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands to discerning shoppers.
Solutions
In 2017, the client initially implemented Vionvision's cutting-edge full-coverage people counting system, enabling the collection of traditional customer flow and footfall data. Since 2023, Vionvision has intensified deeper collaboration with the client, embarking on a significant upgrade of the existing system to a full-trajectory solution without demolishing or disrupting the existing infrastructure of sensors. This upgraded system offers an integrated analysis of each location's visitor data potential through advanced sensing technologies, categorizing the data into six levels: accurate entrance footfall, store-level footfall and correlations, full-trajectory visitor paths, footfall analytics of the central open area, marketing statistics, and floor data. In addition to the traditional features, the new system's integrated functionality includes precise individual and group people counting, highly-accurate staff exclusion, full conversion funnel analysis, heat map & brand preference indications, cross-store, cross-floor, and cross-category comparisons in terms of footfall statistics.
Results
1. We have completed the upgrade of 231 sensors, including the entire basement floor of the plaza. An additional 450+ sensors are currently undergoing upgrades, with the total number of smart sensors expected to surpass 700;
2. Utilizing traffic flow analysis, the client strategically positioned advertising boards in areas of high foot traffic and customized the advertising content to suit visitor preferences. This targeted approach has led to a notable 12% increase in engagement metrics, such as dwell time and interaction rates;
3. The new system has significantly enhanced their ability to analyze customer preferences and the effectiveness of marketing events. As a result, they have been able to optimize their operational strategies, leading to an increase of a remarkable 18% in customer entrance rate and a 13% conversion rate;
4. By applying Vionvision’s full-trajectory solution in areas with high risks of emergency, such as atriums, entrances, escalators and elevators. Client has successfully prevented two customer conflicts and one medical emergency.
